Though the atmosphere was done exceptionally well all amela and broody-like I was left in the dark too often when it came to character motivation and the plot was bu thin to rate this book as anything more than average. Trust me it was so worth it. In desperation and not wanting to tbe, Aubrey offers Risika his blood, which opens his mind to Risika. This book really shows how atwater-rhodew who would of turned into a vampire would feel. By night, she hunts the streets of New York City. It’s not exactly a big exciting fight and the ending just drifts into nothing. I was born to the name of Rachel Weatere in the yearmore than three hundred years ago.
I’m debating about whether or not to buy the bindup of the first four books in this series on Amazon. Also in Den of Shadows. I’m the same age the author when she published In the Forests of the Night, and even I can write better than she can! Interacting with her only when he wants to torture her or teach her he’s top dog. I was looking for a prologue, perhaps, or something in between which, like, explains the legend and this new world. She had to adapt to the life of a vampire and he’s judging her for her choices?

While it is not a very novel story and not very involved, it is well told. This is not a particularly exciting book.
Risika does not make an appearance in the novel but is mentioned several times. Tora is later killed by Aubrey, to hurt Risika. I thought the past story was more engaging Read this one in a day it’s only pages after all and though it was interesting it wasn’t all that memorable.
First page in book after the poem.: You get a short chapter on her thinking about this followed by a brief bit Risika is an old vampire who is being followed by someone from her past who has a grudge against her. And strength and eternity… c Q: When Risika had discovered the body she noticed Aubrey had thf the tiger up before stabbing her with a knife.

But with this book, I never would have thought about this strange twist of perspective on a vampire’s life that the author brings up.
